NORFOLK SUNDAY

SENIOR CUP 2nd ROUND

Into the third round go CSKA Emneth and FANG, one game closer to the final at Carrow Road.

CSKA and Horsepigs faced-off in an all-Lynn Sunday League affair, with CSKA avenging last week’s league defeat. Jack Newman, Max Mattless and Connor Ratcliffe scoredfor CSKA, Jack Gould for Horsepigs.

FANG made the long trip to Heartease in Norwich, and romped to a 4-1 win.

FANG won the Junior Cup in 2012/13. Steve Asprey notched a pair with Tom Cunliffe and Colin Buffham, hero of the 2013 final, also scoring.

England’s Hope remain on track for a treble as they beat Moles Rest 4-2 away. Danny Emmington, Ben Jimson, Sam Whyborn and Justin Uddin all scoring.

Clenchwarton faced a very strong Mad Moose side and lost 1-6, Gavin Caney getting the consolation.

Draw 3rd Rd (November 16): England’s Hope v Sprowston W/AFC Wdrs, Gorleston Rg v CSKA Emneth, FANG v Spixworth/Riverside, Chilvers or Windmill/Norman Wdrs v Acle Wdrs.

INTERMEDIATE CUP 2ND ROUND

Tilney had already gone through, by virtue of a walkover win, and Farmers Arms joined Tilney in the third round by travelling to Hethersett and winning 2-1. Jamie Flores and Tom Maynard got the important goals.

CAMBRIDGESHIRE

CENTENARY CUP 1ST ROUND

In another all-Lynn Sunday League affair, Wisbech Social claimed their first ever County Cup win, beating Elm 2-0 thanks to Richard Hunt and Mackenzie Carter. March Saracens came up against a very strong Guyhirn side and fell to a 0-4 home defeat.

Draw: Guyhirn v Wisbech Soc.

NORFOLK SUNDAY

JUNIOR CUP 2ND ROUND

Heacham Res travelled into the unknown and took on Red Lion, winning 0-4, courtesy of Tom Hawkins four.

River Lane hosted a strong Labas outfit, but fell to a 0-3 home defeat.

WEST NORFOLK

SCAFFOLDING SUNDAY LEAGUE DIVISION ONE

Having beaten them on the opening day, Burt faced Long Sutton away, and completed the league double. A 2-0 win was secured by goals from Ryans Smith and Barnes.

DIVISION TWO

Sutton St James, due to others being in county cup action, had the chance to grab top spot, and beat CR Eastern 7-3.

In a game between two of the title contenders, it was Sutton St James who emerged on top of the pile.

Curtis Morais bagged a brace and Travis Toll scored for CR. Sutton’s Jake Clitheroe led the way with three, Ian Thrower a deuce, Ashley Godfrey and Alan Burch one each.

Tydd St Mary earned their first-ever point, drawing 2-2 with high flying Flitcham Bell, Stephen Pearson and James Ringwood scoring for the Winking Owls. Tydd: Joe Elving and Darren Andrews.

DIVISION THREE

In a close basement battle, Marcus Gilbertson grabbed the all-important goal for Fleet against Watlington.

The top two clashed at Southery. Dersingham go top and kept their 100 per cent league record intact with an excellent 6-2 win (Anton Ely 4, Gary Bowman and Daniel Coggin). Arron Hodson and Terry Whitwell scored for Horsepigs Reserves.
