The grandstand at The Walks will carry a new name for tomorrow’s FA Cup tie after insurance broker Adrian Flux agreed a three-year sponsorship deal with the Linnets.
Fans will take their seats in the Adrian Flux Grandstand for the visit of Lancaster City in the third qualifying round tie in a deal chairman Buster Chapman hailed as a “massive boost for the club”.
“The financial input is very important to us and it will help keep the club buoyant as it should be; the travelling costs alone are frightening and this will make a massive difference,” said Chapman.
“It’s something that’s beneficial to both parties and we’re both excited about it and looking forward to the future.
“There are very few naming deals in non-league football and for us it’s a great privilege to have Adrian Flux with us – we’re very proud.”
Gerry Bucke, general manager at Adrian Flux, which employs about 800 staff at its East Winch headquarters, was delighted.
“We were impressed with the job Buster and the team have done in moving the club forward and we’re very excited about helping the football club fulfil its potentials,” he said.
“We consider it important for local businesses to support their community – something we have always tried to do – and we look forward to developing our relationship to our mutual benefit.”
Chapman, who hopes the sponsorship will coincide with progress to within one round of potential league opposition in the world’s oldest cup competition, added: “Flux is a large and renowned company in the area, and nationally also, and to see that they’ve had faith in us could encourage other businesses to come on board.
“It’s a massive boost for the club and great for football in the town.”
