Football: Easter tests for advanced squads

THE Easter holidays will see Lynn Community Football’s Advanced football squads come up against tough opposition.

York City will be the visitors for both the under 11 and 15s, while other squads will be paying visits to Boston United, Cambridge United and Kettering FDS respectively.

York City are a new addition to the fixture calendar and will provide a good test to see how the players are progressing.

All of the squads have been preparing well in training since the last set of fixtures in February and these sort of games let the players apply their skills against professional set-ups.

Lynn Community Football have always been able to compete well with opposition such as this, showing how well the scheme has developed.

Fixture details can be found on the Lynn Community Football Facebook page.

The scheme will also be holding football and speed-stacking activities in Hunstanton over the Easter half-term.

All activities are led by FA level two qualified football coaches and are ideal for children aged between 5 and 14 to learn and improve new skills but, most importantly, have fun.

A speed-stacking school will take place at Smithdon High School on Tuesday between 10.30am and 2.30pm, as well as a soccer school on the Wednesday and Thursday between 10am and 3pm.

Soccer schools will also take place on Monday, April 18, and Tuesday 19 at Docking playing field (10am to 3pm) and Wednesday, April 20 and Thursday 21 at Heacham FC (10am to 3pm).

A player development centre also takes place at Smithdon High School on Monday evenings from 5pm for boys and girls between 5 and 14.

For further information on the holiday clubs and PDC please contact James Buhlemann, Hunstanton area manager, on 07830 009006.
