FOOTBALL: Jonathan Chapman steps down at Linnets

Vice chairman of King’s Lynn Town FC, Jonathan Chapman, has resigned from his role due to the demand other commitments away from football.

He said yesterday: “It is unfortunate I haven’t been able to dedicate the time needed to the club as of late and I don’t see my situation improving. Therefore I feel it is best to announce my resignation to give the club an opportunity of finding somebody else to fill my role.”

Club chairman Keith Chapman said: “I would like to thank Jonathan for all his time and effort over the last few years helping us to rebuild the club. Obviously this will add strain to the day-to-day running of the club for myself and the other staff but I will be looking for someone else to fill his position as soon as possible.”
