FOOTBALL: Lynn pull out all the stops

KING’S Lynn Town officials have pulled out all of the stops to make sure that tonight’s Norfolk Senior Cup tie at The Walks goes ahead.

Ahead of the quarter-final clash between the Linnets and Norwich City Reserves, parts of the playing surface, including under the main stand and both goalmouths, were covered with protective sheeting in an effort to beat the frost.

With rising temperatures also forecast for later today, it is hoped the match will go ahead without a pitch inspection being called.

More news will appear later.
