Novus North West Norfolk League

Division Three

Denver 4 Heacham A 0

Four first half goals moved Denver into second place with just five games remaining and exacted revenge for the previous week’s defeat to the same opponents in the Charlie Day Cup.

Ben Young opened the scoring after eight minutes when he headed home a Matty Willis cross and Willis was again the provider when Jake Dewing doubled the lead 18 minutes later.

PKS Construction/Morris Armitage Denver MoM Jamie Plummer slotted home two penalties before the break, the first when captain Ciaran Pennock-Halpin was tripped in the area and then when a Heacham defender punched away a goalbound Darren Thorpe header.

Denver will face South Creake in the League Cup final in Fakenham at 7.30pm on Wednesday, April 27. The club is planning to run a coach from Denver/Downham and anyone interested in reserving seats should contact manager Larry Halpin on 07730 548050.
