Denver 4

Colkirk 2

Despite missing a number of first-choice players, Denver extended their winning streak to seven games and progressed to the last 16 with a well deserved victory against the Central & South Norfolk League side.

Denver took the lead after just three minutes when Darren Thorpe powered home a header from Callum Cottey’s pinpoint corner.

Billie Lawson doubled the advantage on 26 minutes by scoring from the penalty spot after being brought down in the box.

Denver led 3-0 at half-time thanks to leading goalscorer Matthew Wolfe’s eighth of the season following good work by Connor Lewis.

The visitors pulled one back five minutes after the break with an 18-yard free-kick but Denver made it four three minutes later when Ben Young finished off a breakaway move.

Colkirk scored a second after 70 minutes but Denver remained in control. The draw will be live on Radio Norfolk at 6.30pm tonight.
