King’s Lynn Town Res 3

To use the well-known phrase “a game of two halves”, Lynn Reserves ran out 3-1 winners and completed their first double of the season to go in fifth spot.

The home side had the better of the early exchanges but, after falling behind, Lynn equalised just after the half-hour through Karl Tansley. Lynn’s second string were lucky not to be behind at half-time but for poor finishing by the home side and the woodwork.

After early pressure from the home side, Lynn took the lead through Robbie Palmer after good work from Cieran Beales and the scoring was completed with a header from Danny Setchell across goal for Tansley to poke home.

Lynn Reserves: Pearson, Palmer (Jalo), Spittlehouse, Bird, Daw, Burch, White, McQuaid, Beales (Setchell), Tansley, Champion (Stannard). Man of the Match: Simon Bird.
