LYNN SUNDAY LEAGUE

CUP FINAL DAY

This Sunday sees the first of the Lynn Sunday League’s cup final days, staged at King’s Lynn Town FC, writes Rob Bunting.

The Cherrington Cup final between Chilvers FC and England’s Hope FC will kick off at 10.30am with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Cup, between CR Eastern FC and Heacham FC, kicking off at 1.30pm.

Entrance is £3 and gets you into both finals, with 50 per cent of all gate money being shared between the four finalists, as a way of giving back to the clubs.

Under-16s are priced at a £1.

Please come on down and support the sides and the league as two great finals are anticipated.

Division Two

Only one game took place on Sunday and that saw MacMillan overcome a hugely-improved and plucky West Winch William Burt FC outfit 3-2.

Travis Mortimer and Matty Gollands had got Burt dreaming of a big scalp.

But MacMillan battled to the very end and won the game through goals from Gavin Plume, Jon Summers and Michael Crisp.

The Battle of the Fens cup final day at Wisbech was postponed last Sunday due to the heavy deluge of rain in the days leading up to the final.

It has now been re-arranged for Sunday, May 15, again at Wisbech Town FC.

The league thank Wisbech for helping them out.
