King’s Lynn Town continue their pre-season preparations with the A47 derby at Wisbech tomorrow.
Goalkeeper Alex Street is set to face his former club after returning from holiday, while striker John Sands is edging closer to a return but won’t feature against the Fenmen.
Linnets boss Gary Setchell said: “We are getting closer to having a full squad to choose from, but we will take a couple of youth team players with us just to give them some experience.
“John Sands will start running again this week while Matty Castellan is due back in the country on July 26.”
Setchell had mixed feelings about the 1-1 home draw with Spalding on Tuesday night, where Michael Clunan scored from the penalty spot for the second successive game.
Setchell said: “On the positive side, we kept the ball well and looked really fit. There were some good individual performances from Lee Stevenson and Michael Clunan in particular.
“On the negative side, after we went a goal up our game management was very poor. I know it’s a friendly and unrealistic but it is something we need to get right going into the new season.
“It was the 15 minutes after we conceded which I was disappointed with.”
For the Fenmen, Jack Friend, Michael Frew and Danny Beaumont will all face their former club at the Elgood’s Stadium.
King’s Lynn Town Reserves beat Dersingham 2-0 on Tuesday night with goals from Robbie Palmer and Ryan Harnwell.
