King’s Lynn Town FC have strengthened their squad ahead of tomorrow’s home Evo–Stik Premier clash with Ashton United with the signing of holding midfielder/defender Conor Marshall from Conference North side Boston United.
The 22-year-old holding midfielder/defender Marshall had completed around 20 matches for The Pilgrims up until Christmas but collected a leg infection which kept him out of the side.
Since then, his chances have been limited. Marshall (pictured) began his football Career at Grimsby Town at the age of 11 but moved onto Brigg Town and then to Boston United in 2012.
On joining the Linnets Marshall said: “I am really looking forward to the challenge and looking forward to playing regularly again. Setch (Gary Setchell) has told me to go out and enjoy my football again and that is what I aim to do.
“We need an upturn of fortunes at the moment and hopefully I can help with gaining the three points on Saturday.”
Setchell said he was very pleased to bring Marshall to the club: “Conor is a great signing for us and hopefully will be able to make us more solid across the middle of the park.
“The lad has been unlucky with injuries but I know he is very keen to come in and do a job for us.
“In my opinion he is a Richard Bunting type character and a style of player we have missed.”
