King’s Lynn Town open their Southern League campaign at home

King’s Lynn Town will kick off their 2016-17 Southern League campaign with a home game against Merthyr Town on Saturday, August 6.

The Linnets will host the Martyrs in a reverse of last season’s opening fixture between the two clubs.

Gary Setchell’s side will then travel to St Neots on the Tuesday (August 9) and then to newly-promoted Banbury United on the Saturday (August 13).

Local rivals Cambridge City will visit the Walks the following Tuesday.

Christmas sees a trip to Kettering on Boxing Day with St Ives visiting Lynn on January 2.

Lynn have been drawn away to St Ives Town in the First Round of the League Challenge Cup.

Ties to be played week commencing October 3.

King’s Lynn Town Reserves will kick-off their season with a trip to newcomers Framlingham Town on Saturday, August 6, followed by the visit of Team Bury the following Tuesday.
