Novus NW Norfolk League Division Three

Wootton Reserves 3

Springwood 2

In a frustrating afternoon for the visitors, they started very poorly and gifted the hosts an early 2-0 lead.

The home side then proceed to defend for 70 minutes.

In the second half some questionable decisions for both sides saw Springwood win a penalty which Sam Hewitt perfectly placed in the top corner. Ken Diggins then got an equaliser after some good wing play from Hewitt.

Then with the final kick of the game Wootton broke from a poor Springwood throw-in for the pacy striker to round Pegg and slot in the winner.

Dersingham Rovers 5 Woottons 2

Despite playing in their new-look strip, it was the same old slow start for the home side who soon found themselves a goal down.

However they battled back to force an equaliser.

The stern half-time talk seemed to do the trick as it was a different story in the second half, with Rovers playing much better passing football, and they ran out comfortable winners.

Goals came from Ben Welch 3, Luke Bolderstone and Jack Hazel.

Ultimate Wheelz man of the match: Owen Desborough, faultless at the back in his first game as captain.
