Division Two

Denver 7 Watlington 1

Marcus Cumberbatch’s third hat-trick in four starts helped Denver to a comprehensive victory against their local rivals.

Cumberbatch got the home side off to a perfect start when he converted Matty Willis’s pass after just two minutes but poor defending allowed Watlington to draw level six minutes later.

Momentum swung back in Denver’s favour when the visitors’ leading goalscorer Tom Peel was dismissed for a second yellow card and Danny Brooks made it 2-1 before the break.

Cumberbatch notched his second 11 minutes into the second half before two goals from centre-back Darren Thorpe made it 5-1.

Brooks added his second in the 70th minute and Cumberbatch completed the scoring by getting on the end of Jamie Plummer’s free-kick.
