Robbie Palmer helped himself to a double-brace as Lynn Res returned to action in style at The Walks.

Jack Frohawk and James Dougal were also on target as the reserves kept up the chase on the leading pack in the table.

Lynn’s second string now find themselves three points off third-placed Debenham LC with five games in hand.

Reserves boss Jonathan Hawes said: “The final scoreline flattered us a little bit. It sounds like an easy win really, but it wasn’t a great game or performance if I’m honest.

“We looked like a team which hadn’t played much in the last few weeks, but getting the three points was the most important thing, considering it was only our second match in eight weeks.”

Two of Palmer’s goals came from the penalty spot.
