MEMORIAL CUP

SEMI-FINAL

River Lane and Heacham did battle at Lynnsport on Sunday on the 3G pitch in a titanic affair.

In January these sides met at the same venue in the League Cup, and Heacham won 9-0. It was a very different match this time and after 90 minutes the score was 1-1 with Jack Moy scoring for River Lane and Tom Hawkins for Heacham.

River Lane took the lead with five minutes of extra time left through Michael Gilbert, but Heacham wouldn’t go down without a fight and found an equaliser via Adam Peel.

The game went to sudden death penalties. With only three missed penalties, Heacham prevailed 8-7 to reach their first final, and will now play West Lynn in the final, ironically at Heacham.

DIVISION THREE

West Lynn extended their lead at the top and gave their goal difference a massive boost, which could prove vital in the title race.

They won 12-0 at Watlington in a one-sided affair. Dean Twaite-Smith led the way with a well taken hat-trick. Other goals: Harry Sands a brace, Billy Elliot two(-tu), George Edwards, Josh Smith, Kieran Twaite-Smith, Nathan Young and Danny Suckling.
