West Norfolk Scaffolding
Lynn Sunday League
Only two games survived the big freeze last weekend, with one in each division going ahead, and Division Two getting its third different table-topping team of the season.
After four years as the basement boys, William Burt top Division Two on their own for the first time in their history, after a 6-0 win over Maids Head.
Adam Bush gave Burt the lead in the first half, but with Maids defending stoutly and Burt failing to convert, the score remained 1-0 until half-time.
Burt then scored five in the second half through Ben Ridgwell (3), Nathan Mitchell and Andy Summers.
Terrington extended their lead at the top of Division One, from Wisbech CP8, after beating March Saracens 10-0.
Terrington could only muster one goal in the first half, through Matty Prudence.
A much-improved performance in the second half, saw Terrington score a further nine goals through Neil Goodbourn (4), Dean Twaite-Smith (2), Andy Prior, Robbie Palmer and Alec Wilkinson.
Terrington now top Division One with 19 points.
League Cup, second leg
West Winch 0
Winch didn’t perform to their potential and undid all of the good work from the first leg as they crashed out of the cup.
Archie Bobbins put in a fantastic display, with Winch MoM going to Jordan Chapman, who showed a great attitude.
River Lane Whites 2
River Lane started brightly and took the lead through Matthew Tuttle with a well-taken goal.
Hungate replied just before half-time after some poor defending and took the lead after the restart.
River Lane rallied for the final 20 minutes and, after some good foot work, Chris Scamell scored from just inside the box.
MoM: Josh Bywater.
