Sport - Youth Football: Josh bags hat-trick for Stags

Reffley opened the proceedings this time with an early goal in the first half, putting the Stags on the back foot, but Josh G managed to get an equaliser before half-time.

The second half was mainly dominated by Man-of-the-match Josh D, who put in a magnificent performance to complete a hat-trick.

James B finished completed the scoring with the last goal before the final whistle blew. after a fine Downham display.

This game was played in excellent spirit with the Yellows never giving up.

In a close first half the Yellows took the lead following a mix up in the home defence, but the Rovers came back well the lead at half time 2-1.

In the second half the home side started well and scored quickly to take a comfortable lead. Yellows still attacked well but found Rees Daniels in fine form in goal pulling off excellent saves.

Rovers’ goals came from Wes, Brandon, Lewis, Noah (2), Ollie and Toby.
