The Under 18’s were the only Swaffham side to complete a fixture this week, the weather beating the first team midweek and the Reserves this weekend, both fixtures suffering from waterlogged pitches.

The young Pedlars were safely through the Preliminary Round of the Thurlow Nunn Youth Cup with a 2-1 victory over Downham Town, Callum Robinson and Jack Prentice scoring for Swaffham.

The Downham consolation came from a bizarre own goal.

The Pedlars will travel to the Walks to face King’s Lynn Town on Wednesday, March 16 for the next round.

They are in league action Thursday evening at home to CSF Canaries.

Following this week’s goings on with the County Senior Cup, the Thurlow Nunn fixture secretary has been busy arranging and then re-arranging fixtures.

The Swaffham first team will be playing Norwich United tonight in the Thurlow Nunn Premier, kick off 7.45pm at Shoemakers Lane, and then on Saturday travel to Stanway Rovers.

The following Wednesday they travel to Walsham-Le-Willows.

Next Saturday the Swaffham Reserves are at home to Hemsby.

In Thurlow Nunn Division One, Downham Town’s home game with Debenham LC was called off due to the weather.
