Golf: Steve stands tall at captain’s drive-in
Sutton Bridge Golf
SUTTON Bridge Golf Club captain Terry Young started the New Year off with the annual captain’s drive-in, on Sunday, January 1.
Club members gathered to watch the event after putting their markers down to indicate where they thought the ball would land.
The winning marker was that of Steve Hyde, just over two club lengths from the ball, closely followed by that of Janet Groves at two-and-a-half club lengths distance from the ball.
The money raised by this event was £65, which went to the captain’s chosen charity, of The Alzheimer’s Society.
