With another successful season over, the juniors of Searles Leisure Resort at Hunstanton joined forces with the adults to play their last event of the year.

Ten teams consisting of juniors and adults, set off to compete for the John Daniels Xmas Texas Scramble Challenge.

The final result was very close, with a net score of 28.7 from the winning team of Arthur Bates and son Warren, along with team members Paul Searle and son Oliver.

The gross section was won by Paul and Tina Cribb, with son Jordan and young Calum Buttress , with 35 level par.

Jordan Cribb (elite squad boys’ captain) had a very consistent season by taking the elite squad Order of Merit Trophy, sponsored by Mike Brannon.

Closest to the pins in two shots on the ninth hole were Arthur and Warren Bates, Paul and Oliver Searle.

Ray Stocker, PGA professional, and his assistant Luke Harris, have put together a junior event schedule for 2013, staging at least one event per month from March to December.
