King’s Lynn Stars will be represented by Chris Holder and Robert Lambert at the speedway SGB Premiership Pairs at Somerset on Friday, March 31 (7.30).

The duo will link up together for the first time in Stars colours at The Oaktree Arena as they aim to bag some early season silverware.

Lynn boss Dale Allitt said: “We want to state our intentions right from the off and this is a great opportunity to do just that prior to our first league fixture.

“We’ve got the 2012 World Champion and one of the most exciting, young British riders we’ve seen for a long while now.

“While the line-up is looking pretty strong, I have every confidence that Chris and Rob will be strong contenders for the Pairs title.”

The speedway season gets underway at the Adrian Flux Arena on Sunday, March 26 (2pm) when Simon Lambert stages his testimonial.

The club’s Press and Practice event will take place on Wednesday, March 29 before opening their SGB Premiership campaign at home to Somerset on Wednesday, April 5.
