The King’s Lynn Stars have welcomed Lewis Kerr and Lewis Rose back to the club for the 2016 Elite League season.
Kerr, who was first pick for the delighted Stars promoters Keith Chapman and Rob Lyon, will start his seventh season for the Stars next year as he continues to develop at the Adrian Flux Arena.
The 25-year-old missed the final part of the season through injury, but will be determined to return to form in 2016.
Kerr will reunite with his 2014 reserve partner Rose for next season after he was selected by Lynn’s promotion as their second pick. Rose spent last term with Swindon,
Stars boss Lyon is delighted with his reserves for next season, and said: “We are very pleased to have them both back.
“Lewis Kerr is doing everything he can to get back to the level he finished in August last year and I’m sure he will.
“Lewis Rose is a local lad and like Lewis Kerr he came through the National League. I think it is important that in the draft we can use local lads where possible.
“Lewis is excited about coming back to King’s Lynn and I’m sure he will pick himself up next year.
“I believe he has a good team behind him for next season, and he is determined to get back to the level he showed two years ago.”
n King’s Lynn teenage reserve Layne Cupitt is the first Stebbings Car Superstore Young Stars rider to be re-signed for next year.
The 17-year-old will be doing full winter training in Australia with three-times FIM Speedway World Champion Tai Woffinden from December until March.
