Commentary on this year’s GEAR run will be a step ahead thanks to Norfolk Green.

The Lynn bus company has given organisers one of its double decker buses for race commentator Dick Hughes to use during the 10km event on May 4.

Race director, Roger Partridge, pictured above right with Elizabeth Nockolds of West Norfolk Council and Norfolk Green managing director Andrew Dyer, said: “Dick has done a brilliant job commentating on the race since the very first event, but it’s always been tricky trying to find the right spot for him so he gets the best view without impeding the race’s progress.”

Now Dick will be able to treat runners and spectators to improved commentary with a bird’s eye view of the race on the top deck.

Mr Dyer, said: “This is an outstanding local event, which we are delighted to be associated with.”
