King’s Lynn Speedway is delighted to announce the return of inspirational racer Rory Schlein, who will come back to the Adrian Flux Arena for a fourth consecutive year.
Since first joining the club in 2013, Schlein, 31, has become a fans’ favourite and is held in high regard by the Stars faithful.
After missing a large part of last season with a very serious back injury sustained in Poland, the Australian has agreed to return to the track and will play his part in the club’s search for an Elite League title in 2016.
Schlein - nicknamed Roo Boy - links up with 2016 starters Robert Lambert, Lewis Rose and fellow countryman Troy Batchelor.
Stars boss Rob Lyon said: “We hadn’t planned to announce Rory until later today, but it looks like our new signing, Troy, couldn’t hide his excitement in being in the same team and wanted his twitter followers to know last night.”
Lyon continued: ”It’s great to have Rory in the team again.
“He is a big part of the club and still has a lot to give. Although Rory is coming back from a big injury, talking to him, he’s confident in being able to get back to the form that he showed earlier this year.
“Rory is one of those riders who can make a big difference on the track, and a massive difference in the pits. We are delighted to have him back with us.”
