King’s Lynn Stars have welcomed Trucks R Us as their new main team sponsor.
The SGB Premiership team will now be known as the Trucks R Us Stars and in an ironic twist their sister company tru7.com will be backing Championship side Ipswich.
It’s a huge boost for the club just weeks before the new season with the Stars boasting former world champion Chris Holder as their headline new signing.
A thrilled Trucks R Us managing director Guy Nicholls it’s a case of rolling back the years by linking up with King’s Lynn.
He said: “I came to watch King’s Lynn as a youngster, all those years ago with the likes of Terry Betts and Ian Turner riding for the team.
“I loved coming along and enjoying the experience and I am naturally delighted to become a part of the club this year, it’s an exciting opportunity for us.
“We have been involved with the sport for a while now and this is a great opportunity for us to expand our support. We wish the boys well for a successful season.”
King’s Lynn owner Keith Chapman was understandably delighted to have new backers in place.
