King’s Lynn No.1 Niels-Kristian Iversen will captain Denmark as they kick-off their Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup campaign later this month.

The Grand Prix star will lead the side on home shale in Event One at Vojens on Saturday, July 23 as they fight for a place in the World Cup Final at Belle Vue a week later.

Iversen, who has earned four World Cup gold medals and last tasted glory in dramatic circumstances in 2014, will be joined by Kenneth Bjerre, Leon Madsen and Michael Jepsen Jensen.

They will face off with Poland, Russia and the Czech Republic to get the showpiece competition underway.

Meanwhile, King’s Lynn team-mate Troy Batchelor has been left out of Mark Lemon’s Australia side for Event Two in Vastervik on Tuesday, July 26.
