King’s Lynn Stars have confirmed the home meeting with Swindon, postponed last night, will now take place next Thursday, May 26.

Club bosses spent most of Wednesday afternoon putting plans in place for the meeting – and the new date also means Danish Grand Prix superstar Niels-Kristian Iversen is available for the Roger Warnes Transport Stars.

Promoter Keith Chapman said: “We had confirmation from Niels that he’s available to do that date and my thanks to all parties for their co-operation.

“I was made aware that Swindon had put their home meeting back that night to the Bank Holiday Monday but that wasn’t because of their own riders missing – so they’re now coming to us.”

The sides meet tonight at the Abbey Stadium with Troy Batchelor making his long-awaited return to the track after a shoulder injury. The action starts at 7.30pm.
