Ipswich have completed the signing of Lewis Kerr to add to their heat-leader strength in the 2016 Premier League speedway season.
Heacham ace Kerr has already sealed a spot in the 2016 King’s Lynn Stars team at reserve.
Kerr (pictured) is one of four newcomers to the line-up as the Foxhall have also moved to bring in Paco Castagna on a full transfer from Sheffield, James Sarjeant and Darryl Ritchings.
Morten Risager returns to the club after a year at Plymouth whilst Danny King and Nico Covatti are the only 2015 team members to be retained, and the Witches will also be under new management after Phil Hilton left his role.
Ipswich Director of Speedway Chris Louis said: “The team was planned around Danny and Nico for so many reasons - they score points, they entertain, they are hugely popular with our fans and they are both a pleasure to work with.
“Morten’s consistent run in to the play-offs for Plymouth influenced my decision to bring him back to Foxhall. “Both Lewis (through ‘Team Revolution’) and James (Coventry) know Danny very well so that will no doubt help bring the team together fast. Lewis may take time to settle back in to his racing having finished 2015 on the sidelines but I have absolutely no concerns that we won’t see him back to his best very quickly.”
