King’s Lynn Young Stars host reigning Champions Birmingham on Wednesday in a mouth-watering National League clash at the Adrian Flux Arena (May 11, 7.30pm).

The Stebbings Car Superstore side will be looking to make it three home wins out of three following impressive and convincing successes over Mildenhall and Stoke.

They face a Birmingham side who are unbeaten in their eight fixtures to date and Young Stars team manager Dale Allitt is looking forward to the meeting.

Said Allitt: “There’s no doubt that this is a massive fixture for us and it feels like a David v Goliath clash in every way.

“However, Birmingham aren’t unbeatable as Kent showed by drawing with them last week.

“If we ride to our ability, we have some incredibly fast riders around our own circuit and we can win the meeting.

“Hopefully by the end of Wednesday we will have put on a good show and come away with the points!”

Young Stars reserve Layne Cupitt is set to take his place at No.6 despite sustaining severe bruising and swelling to the hip area following a nasty incident in last week’s clash against Mildenhall.

Birmingham include British Youth Champion Jack Parkinson-Blackburn at reserve as well as heat-leader Darryl Ritchings who made a couple of appearances for the Young Stars before a season ending crash in 2014.

LYNN: Tom Stokes, Shane Hazelden, Scott Campos, Josh Bailey, Nathan Greaves, Layne Cupitt, Ryan Kinsley.

BIRMINGHAM: Zach Wajtknecht, Danyon Hume, Tom Bacon, Darryl Ritchings, Tom Perry, Jack Smith, Jack Parkinson-Blackburn.
