In the Lynn Table Tennis Association Premier Division, Avengers – who had Don Dixon, Phil Brown and Steve Mason – beat the Runcton Holme ‘A’ side of Tim Hines, Rob Rix and Jerry Irving 8-2, and the match was a lot closer than the score line suggests.

A below strength Heacham side of James Patterson, Vaughan Parker and Mick Forth drew 5-5 with the Walton Highway B’s Paul Reed, Graham Sheppard and Craig Pack.

St James, who had Owen Turner, Chris Gay and Mark Pearman playing, beat Pegg Scaffolding’s Peter Pegg, Martin Skipper and Jon Reavell 6-4.

Nets and Edges (Ross Brown, Steve Goodale and Alan Jones) drew 5-5 with Walton Highway A (Grant Brighty, Mike Crowson and Alan Ashberry).

In the First Division Runcton Holme (Melvin Jupp, Graham Warren and Nick Osborne) beat the Swaffham Terriers side of Peter Fysh, Peter Nunn and Keith Richardson 7-3. Paul’s Driving School team of Paul Barrett, Robert Penny and Ashley Starling beat Greenfingers’ Ray Drew, Stuart Frost and Gordon Penny 6-4.

Heacham, who had Mary Anne Woodhouse, Alex Brag and David Howell playing, beat the Spin Doctors’ Peter McDonagh, Gary Wiggs and John Wiggs 6-4.

Ambit Projects (Lewis Baldock, Matt Rowland and Graham Rodgerson) beat the Runcton Holme ‘B’ side of David Lane, Carol Parker and Alan Fuller 10-0. A two-man Wasps team of Steve Mason and Ryan Ringer Duffey beat Sedgeford (Ian Rix, David Woolley and Mike Witley) 7-3.

In the Challenge Cup Runcton Holme ‘A’, who had Tim Hines, Jerry Irving and Rob Rix playing, beat the Ambit Projects side of Chris Ely, Matt Rowlands and Lewis Baldock 9-0.
