Avery and Brown unbeaten while King’s Lynn league leaders sting Wasps

IBA Ltd KLTTA week 13

Premier leaders Topspynn cemented their position with a solid 9-1 win against Wasps.

Ben Avery and Ross Brown were unbeaten for the leaders and it was left to Steve Goodale to respond for Wasps with a win against Karl Brown.

Second placed Ziggys kept up the pressure with a 9-1 win themselves against a two-man Wisbech side.

Steve Barrett and Allan Nicholls led the way but Jerry Irving prevented the whitewash with a five ends win against John Blyth.

Wisbech Wizards came unstuck for the first time this season against Pegg Scaffolding. Wayne Mason led the way for Pegg and received good backup from Martin Skipper and Johnny Reavell.

Brett Heppenstall managed two wins for Wizards with Alan Ashberry adding one win.

St. James closed the gap on Avengers by beating them 7-3.

Serafim Melo scored a maximum and Owen Turner and Howard Lupton only lost to the battling Martyn Allen.

Bottom side Wisbech Hawks came up against a very strong Heacham side with Jordy Gabriel, Mollie Patterson and Mark Dare all unbeaten in a 10-0 whitewash.

Ambit Projects maintained their unbeaten record in Division One with a fine 6-4 win against Heacham A.

Rob Rix remains unbeaten and David Whitby with two wins and Lewis Baldock one gave good support.

Leigh McDonald, David Woolley and Melissa McDonald all managed a win for Heacham. Wasps ‘2’ had a solid 9-1 win against Greenfingers.

Igor Scekalevs, David Patrick and Terry Rudd did the damage for Wasps and only Graham Keeley could get on the scoresheet with a win against Rudd.

Pauls Driving School keep up the pressure in third place with an 8-2 win against Blades.

Alex Bragg and Danny Vertigan beat Ashley Starling for Blades points but Paul Barrett and Phil Brown were both unbeaten for Pauls.

Two man Swaffham Terriers put up a fight against Runcton Holme with Peter Fysh in fine form for his two wins and Peter Nunn joining him for the doubles win.

Nick Osborne was unbeaten for Runcton and Graham Warren and Steve Bailey had wins against Nunn.

Spin Doctors travelled to bottom team Runcton Holme ‘B’ and came away 8-2 winners. Peter McDonagh led the way with a maximum and Roger Chilvers and Les Brockhurst were only beaten by Clive Sandle.

Players of the month for November: Steve Goodale – Wasps (Premier) and Alex Bragg – Blades (Div 1).
