West Norfolk Under 10 team played two games away at Norwich on Sunday.
West in the first play were only denied an opening score as Jack Zebedee was forced into touch only yards from the try line. West found themselves continually stretched and only some fine last ditch tackles kept West in touch, Norwich deservedly winning 20-5 with Wests’ try coming from Jake Bailey.
Game two saw Tank (Jake Watson) force his way through the defence and break a couple of tackles to open the scoring. Sam Mallett and Keaton Vincent forced Norwich into more mistakes. Matthew Lloyd prompted Wests’ best move as he forced a turnover only to be tackled on the line. Joshua Leverett King picked up the ball and spun a pass out to the right for Thomas Norman to touch down in the corner. West fell just short in a 20-15 defeat. Wests’ other try came through Bailey as he completed a hat-trick over the two games.
Squad: Keaton Vincent, Daniel Ballinger, Jake Bailey, Euan Underwood, Josh Leverett King, Jack Zebedee, Matthew Lloyd, Jake Watson, Sam Mallett, Thomas Norman.
