Paul Morton scored 45 and Dan Harper 40 in Denver’s total of 148 all out with Roy Bland taking 4 for 30 including a hat-trick in West Norfolk League Division One.

Hockwold’s openers Joel Gilmour 82 not out and Anthony Ruddick 53no knocked off the runs inside 23 overs for an impressive 10-wicket victory to maintain their lead at the top.

Snettisham are now eight points behind the leaders after they recorded a nine-wicket win against bottom of the table Heacham.

The first three batsmen failed to trouble the scores as Heacham got off to a terrible start with Kieran Herbert taking 5 for 18 to help bowl Heacham all out for 84 with Tom Williams offering the most resistance with 25.

Then Lewis Jeavons with 27 runs, Ryan Twiddy 25no and Jonathan Forder 26no saw Snettisham to victory in the 28th over.

Callum Lee took 5 for 24 and James Hurst 3 for 10 as 10-man Northwold were bowled out for 67 with M Plumpton top scoring with 25.

M Butcher took 3 for 28 as Sandringham knocked off the runs after 19 overs with James Banham scoring 23.

Usman took 3 for 36 as nine-man Hillington were bowled out for 138 with Craig Thaxton top scoring with 35. Castle Rising went on to win by five wickets in the 34th over with Calum Crome-Russell scoring 30.

Division Two

Gooderstone have a two-point lead over Castle Acre who both recorded maximum 20-point wins this weekend.

Glenn Fossey scored 50 and Ben Wilkinson 57 in Gooderstone’s total of 281 for 9 with Oscar Cambell taking 3 for 48. Fakenham 3rds’ M Thompson scored 33 and Bruce Bushell 39no in their reply of 106 all out with Nicholas Morgan taking 4 for 19 and Mark Chalkley 5 for 46 in their 175 run victory.

A superb innings from Sam Molyneux of 142no (18x4 and 1x6) was the stand out in Castle Acre’s innings.

Hospital’s Hamza Khan took 3 for 43 to reduce Acre to 26 for 4 and a stand of 98 for the ninth wicket with Luke Fryett providing Sam with great support when his 30 runs helped Acre reach 246 for 9 in their 45 overs.

Hospital made a good stand with AMBiT Projects MoM Shaun Claxton 70 and James Dye 22 putting on 67 for the first wicket before Tom Brown ripped through the middle order taking 5 for 9 to secure victory by 105 runs.

Third placed Narborough A kept within nine points of Castle Acre after their 115-run victory over fourth placed Sandringham A. Jonathan Coe scored 62 in their total of 184 with Cameron Bear taking 4 for 29. Daniel King took 5 for 21 as Sandringham A were bowled out for 69.

Unfortunately Downham 3rds were unable to raise a team and conceded their match against Holt.

Division Three

Bircham A overtook Gayton by one point after their 30-run victory over Denver A. Trevor Palmer scored 32 and Paul Palmer 30 in their total of 168 all out with Andrew Simpson taking 3 for 11. Despite opener Dave Robinson scoring 90, Denver ran out of wickets in the 28th over with Paul Brown taking 4 for 53.

Nine-man Gayton were bowled out by Swaffham A for 88 with Josh Joachim taking 3 for 34 and Harry Exley 3 for 26 with Tim Tilbrook scoring 27. Opener James Dorling hit an unbeaten 44 as Swaffham A secured an eight-wicket victory in the 13th over.

M Harrowing was unbeaten on 22 as Castle Rising A were bowled out for 96 with the wickets being shared around. Opener Jamie White was unbeaten on 42, but lost his first five partners cheaply before Shaun Felgate 28no saw Dersingham A home to victory in the 15th over with M Harrowing taking 3 for 35.

Gooderstone 2nds were unable to raise a team and conceded their match against Snettisham A.
