Brancaster Staithe player Mollie Patterson helped Ackworth School sweep all before them at the Butterfly English Schools Table Tennis Association national team finals.
The 14-year-old is part of the Table Tennis England National Talent Academy based at the school in Pontefract.
And she helped ensure no slip-ups as the favourites won the under-16 girls’ event in Hinckley at a canter.
The squad of England trio Mollie Patterson, Jasmin Wong and Ruby Chan, ably backed up by Harriet Greenwood and Emily Greenwood, beat Okehampton Community College and Lancaster Girls’ Grammar School, both 6-2, and Burlington Danes Academy (Hammersmith) 8-0.
Patterson said: “We’re very happy to win the title, it’s important to us and the school.
“We understand that we have three players of very good standard but we need four in the team for each match and we couldn’t have done it without Emily and Harriet.”
Patterson will this week take on the other top 10 youngsters in the rankings at Table Tennis England’s Junior National Cup competition in Milton Keynes.
