NORFOLK CRICKET LEAGUE

In Division 1 this week, Steve Hack with 116* and Alex Ellis 71* saw Gt Yarmouth to a comfortable win against Denver.

Sandringham remain unbeaten after a comfortable win at home to Caister, and are pushing Snettisham for top spot. Snettisham’s Ryan Twiddy’s 116* and Mark Utteridge’s 52* helped them keep top spot with a win over Cringleford Lodge.

In level 2 West, Castle Rising smashed 290 (Darren Clarke 126, Matt Taylor 69) beating Gooderstone, for whom Owen Chandler took 8-32.

Garboldisham B outclassed Northwold.

Heacham chased down North Elmham’s 178 for the loss of only two wickets and Castle Acre defeated Reepham and Salle thanks to 91* from Elliott Whiting.

Result of the day happened in Level 3 West, Dersingham A and Swanton Morley making 199 in their tied game.

Bircham A were comfortable winners over Lynn Hospital, while Narborough continued their good form with a good win over Sandringham A.

Thornham march on in 4 North West, Dickie Sayers making 62 and Peter O’Connor 5-16 against Denver A.

Lewis Jeavons 85 and Paul Ingram 100 helped Snettisham A pile on 345 against Fakenham B.

Kevin Brandy’s 113 for Gooderstone A was not enough to help them overcome Castle Rising A as Calum Crome-Russell made 73 and Steven Long 55.

Tony Exley’s 7-12 demolished Mundford A for Swaffham A as they won comfortably.

Fakenham CC 2nd XI 234/5 (Harrison Futter 103, Ben Harvey 31, Chris Crane not out 45) beat Beccles Town 133 (Nathan Thurston 7-2-21-1, Emily Woodhouse 7-0-46-2, Chris Crane 6.2-0-36-6) by 101 runs.
