King’s Lynn Roller Hockey Club under 15’s team started the new season away to Cottenham, Rickmansworth and Sudbury on Sunday.

A young team with three new members had to work hard together for the first time showing grit and determination in all games and were well led by captain Finley Griffin. Lynn’s new goalkeeper Harry Dugdale had an outstanding performance showing her great reflexes and shot-stopping to help Lynn to win two out of the three games.

Sudbury 3 Lynn 1 (goal

scorer Harvey Dugdale)

Lynn work hard to break down a strong Sudbury team but were caught on the break a few times to go 2-1 down at half-time. The second half was entertaining with Lynn hitting the post countless times.

Lynn 4 Rickmansworth U17 3 (scorers Joseph Hawes 2, Finley Griffin, Dugdale)

Both teams gave it their all. Jason Gay and Myah Easter both played well in defence.

Lynn 1 Cottenham 0

(scorer Griffin)

Lynn showed great defence and counter attacks. The only goal was scored after great passing by the whole team. Griffin was also unlucky not to score from a penalty. Easter was unable to shoot due to the final whistle going.
