New King’s Lynn RPC had 13 members send 193 birds to Salisbury (4).

A third win for South Lynn’s Pete and Dave Ellwood, when two yearling Staf Van Reets took the top positions. Their winner took 3hrs 7 mins to fly 147 miles.

First pools went to the Manning boys; 2nd pools went to Kim Peacock and Bernie Byrne. The nom was won by Riches and Anderson.

Result: 1, 2 Pete and Dave Ellwood, 1385, 1376; 3 Claude Riches & Justine Anderson, 1366; 4 Mr & Mrs Taffy Roberts, 1350; 5 Paul Naughton & G/Daughter, 1323; 6 Kim Peacock & Bernie Byrne.

Gaywood had six lofts send 89 birds to Salisbury (4). George and Graham Cook had two very good birds take the top two in the club and both birds took 3hrs 6 mins to fly 148 miles.

Result: 1, 2, 4 George & Graham Cook & G/Sons, 1402 (two birds) 1320; 3, 5, 6 Rod & Gloria Ogden & Sons, 1347, 1311, 1295.

Clenchwarton Victory also raced from Salisbury (4). First win of the season for Smeeth racer Paddy Barrett when he had two birds come together.

Result: 1, 2, 4, 6 Paddy Barrett, 1298 (two birds), 1211, 1145; 3, 5 Rod & Gloria Ogden & Sons, 1214, 1206.

Fens S.R. Federation raced from Poole, when eight clubs sent 916 birds. Only the team of Kim Peacock and Bernie Byrne got into the Fed result, when their New Lynn winner was ninth Open.

Wereham raced from Salisbury when eight members sent 91 birds. Wormegay’s Billy Mellett had a Flor Engels well clear and took 3hrs 2 mins to fly 146 miles.

Result: 1, 5, 6 Billy Mellett, 1411, 1317, 1297; 2, 3, 4 Allan Coulson, 1326, 1322 (two birds).
