The New Lynn Racing Pigeon Club held their presentation at The Winch near Lynn, writes Kevin Mason.
The club’s top flyers were the father and son team of Chris and Leighton Boughen, who finished the 2014 season with a fantastic 11 wins in the club. Since I started doing the pigeon results some 30 years ago, no one has ever won 11 times in this strong club.
Well done to the Boughens who have had the help of Chris’s wife Tracy.
Also it was a sad night because two of the club’s top racers Tommy Hawes and John Pratt through illness have decided to call it a day. Between them they have raced in the club a total of 115 years, with John racing 65 and Tommy 55.
They have won hundreds of races over the years, and will be sadly missed. The Queen’s Loftman Peter Farrow and his wife Sherral Farrow presented the prizes.
