Golden Jason heads King’s Lynn Mark Farnham world titles

Some 32 students from the Mark Farnham Schools of Tae Kwon-Do took part in the TI World Championships 2016 at the National Indoor Arena, Birmingham.

The Mark Farnham Schools gained 17 awards at the tournament, results below.

Lynn: Oliver Wright Boys Red Belt Sparring 3rd; Jason Fitzgerald Boys Red Belt Sparring 1st, Team Sparring 2nd; Suzanne Fitzgerald Girls Blue Belt Sparring 3rd; Charlotte Scott Ladies Black Belt Continuous Sparring 3rd, Point Stop Sparring 2nd, Tag Team Sparring 2nd; Ilya Celinskis Boys Yellow Belt Sparring 3rd.

Also, Warren Vice, an ex-Lynn student who now teaches Tae Kwon Do in Liverpool, had once again a massive haul.

Results: Mens Black Belt Point Stop Sparring 1st, Continuous Sparring 1st; Mens Black Belt Team (fighting for England) Sparring 1st; Tag Team Sparring 2nd.

This now makes an incredible 22 world titles held by Vice who has now decided after a 27-year competition career to step down and retire from tournaments to concentrate on teaching his students.
