Is the next Ben Ainslie in Norfolk?

His career in sailing began at the age of eight with his family in Restronguet, Cornwall.

By the age of 16 Ben was Laser Radial World Champion. Then just nineteen years old Ben won his first Olympic silver medal in the Laser Class at the Atlanta 1996 Olympic Games. This was the last time he would come second!

If you are 8 or 80, everyone is welcome as Snettisham Beach Sailing Club throws open its doors for its annual Open Day on Saturday, May 14 from 10am, as part of the Royal Yachting Association national initiative “Push The Boat Out” to promote sailing and discover more Champions.
