After a very successful season for the adults in the West Norfolk Tennis League it was time for the juniors to compete.

The first junior match was between King Edward VII School and Great Massingham with seven taking part from each team. This is a new initiative from the clubs to ensure that the youngsters get the opportunity to compete on a regular basis so they can put into practice all they are learning in their coaching programmes.

The event was a combination of singles and doubles in the same format as Davis Cup.

Whilst KES won 9-2 it was a great day with some great tennis being played by everyone over three hours.

It is hoped that more junior matches will be played during the winter months with other clubs from the area.

Both KES and Great Massingham tennis clubs have an all-year-round coaching programme run by LTA qualified coaches and are always looking for youngsters to join these established sessions.
