In December Alive Leisure achieved accreditation to the Safer Programme.

The Safer Programme comes under the guidance of Norfolk Safeguarding Children Board (NSBC) which is the main organisation overseeing all organisations working with safeguarding children’s issues.

The accreditation shows Alive Leisure have achieved recognised standards in safeguarding children with appropriate procedures and policy in place. As part of the accreditation process all Alive Leisure staff undertake a DBS check and safeguarding training.

Simon McKenna, chief executive of Alive Leisure, said: “This highlights Alive Leisure’s commitments to providing a safe and enjoyable programme of activities for children at all of our centres.

“We feel with this accreditation parents have added confidence in leaving their children with our staff.”
