On a perfect day for golf 96 players took part in the popular annual King’s Lynn Golf Club Captains’ Charity AM AM day at the club.

As well as Lynn players there were participants from 20 other clubs.

Funds were raised from a raffle, wine tombola, par three “Get on the Green”, an auction and sponsorship of tees and greens by businesses. Players gave very generously to the auction, raffle, tombola and par 3 competition.

The club captain’s chosen charity was The British Heart Foundation and the Ladies captain’s charity was The Papworth Charity Trust, both of which were personal to the captains.

Roger Williamson from the British Heart Foundation and Charlotte Davenport from the Papworth Charity Trust each gave a brief talk on how their charities will use the money raised. In total a fantastic sum of £6,450 was raised.

The prizes were presented by both captains to the winners.
