Following the success of last season’s Return to Rugby campaign, West Norfolk RUFC have again been asked by the RFU to host the event.

Tailor-made training sessions have been developed by English Rugby with support from Sport England to help clubs deliver purpose-designed opportunities that meet the needs of returning players. West Norfolk RUFC will be getting fully involved and are running a series of Return to Rugby sessions for a 10-week period. The first session will take place on next Thursday, August 25 at Gate House Lane North Wootton.

The Return to Rugby training sessions are all designed to be social occasions with the emphasis on enjoyment, inclusivity and aimed at all fitness and skill levels. Going at a pace that suits each individual participant, it is hoped these taster sessions will provide the right encouragement for many to go onto play rugby on a regular basis.

Chairman Steve Smith said: “Last season 27 players returned which was a fantastic result and to ensure game time for all we have comprehensive set of fixtures for our third team this season.

“West Norfolk RUFC again looks forward to welcoming players back into the game in a friendly and relaxed environment, no matter what their experience levels are.”

To take part in West Norfolk RUFC’s Return to Rugby training sessions please contact chairman@westnorfolkrugby.com or visit West Norfolk RUFC any Thursday at 6.30pm.
