A College of West Anglia student has become the youngest Les Mills™ personal training instructor in the country.
Tom Brown, who is in his second year at college studying a Diploma in Personal Training, has trained as a CX works instructor and this weekend completed his Body Pump module.
Les Mills™ programmes are internationally recognised and available in over 16,000 clubs, making trained instructors more employable than your average instructor.
Tom is now employed by Heros gym in Lynn having completed a work placement there in his first year. The fitness instructor qualification now qualifies him to teach classes and work as an instructor within the gym.
As last year’s ‘student of the year’ Tom is predicted to carry on to a successful career.
He said: “I am really enjoying working with Heros Fitness and would also like to thank the college for their support throughout my education. Being a Les Mills instructor will hopefully open up many future career opportunities for me and will allow me to do much more at Heros.”
Julie Lawrence, Tom’s college tutor, said: “Tom has been a pleasure to have in class. He works well with the rest of the group and has progressed well in his placement. He is enthusiastic and motivated and has excelled in his placement, gaining valuable experience and knowledge.”
