King’s Lynn Golf Club seniors had an away draw in round 2 of the Norfolk Barnard Trophy to Eagles Golf Club, writes Blair Rule.

All matches were played in a great spirit and it wasn’t until the final green that the final result was known. Lynn had lost two of the first three games, but were up by two holes due to the third pair, Rafiq Rattansi and Richard Brown. In the final game, a delicate chip by Arthur Vanderloo to the 18th flag enabled the Lynn pair to win the hole and therefore the team to win by a single hole up.

The results were as follows: Richard Jessop and Robin Olle lost 2 down, Blair Rule and Bob Murray lost 2 down, Rafiq Rattansi and Richard Brown won 6 up, Arthur Vanderloo and Mike Wilson lost 1 down. Lynn won by 1 hole.
