Carl Breeze will be looking for some home comforts this weekend when he sets about trying to extend his impressive lead at the top of the Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup standings.

Lynn driver Breeze holds a 22-point advantage going into the three races on his home circuit of Snetterton.

The HHC Motorsport driver heads back to his home county on a real high after a six-week break following a sensational first half of the season.

Breeze said: “I’m really looking forward to going back to Snetterton, it’s a good track and it’s going to be great racing in front of family and friends.

“I don’t mind Snetterton. I’ve gone well there in the past and always receive good support.

“I’m expecting Jamie (Orton) to go well, but as long as I can bring home about 70 points from the weekend then I will be happy.”

Breeze went into the summer break with his best points haul so far at this stage of a Supercup season.

He posted a superb tally of 11 podiums, including four race victories, in the opening 14 rounds.

But the Lynn race ace, who has had a new electronic system fitted on his car, is not thinking about records going into the second half of the campaign.

“If you’d have offered me the championship lead and a 22-point advantage heading into the summer break I would have snapped your arm off,” said Breeze.

“It’s fantastic to have the points on the board and the lead in my hands. I know that if I have a second half of the year to match my first half then I will be champion.

“I’ve held the championship lead for a while now, but I know that things can change in a flash in this sport.

“As long as I can finish at least one point ahead in the standings at the end of the season, that’s all that matters.”

Breeze will have three 40-minute testing sessions today before qualifying and negotiating one round of action tomorrow.

His final two races will take place on Sunday and you can follow his progress and watch him in action on ITV 4.

Breeze thanks Bluechip, HHC Motorsport, Holbon Photography, Mr Snippers, Forma Exercise and Fitness, Graham and Leigh and @GPlummerMedia for their continued support.
