Drivers braved quite horrendous conditions at the Adrian Flux Arena on Monday for the annual Vandemonium Revenge which featured Big Van Bangers, Reliant Robins, 2L (Non Mondeo) Bangers and Lady Bangers.

Despite the non-stop rain the drivers delivered a great show in the conditions and the meeting was also very well supported.

Lynn’s Darren Fendley increased his lead in the Banger National Points with a dominant display over both National Banger formulas which saw him record a hat-trick of third place finishes in the Big Van Bangers which was backed up by a final win in the 2L (Non Mondeo) Bangers.

Fendley was chased home in the 2L Banger final by defending points champion Terry Garrod (Swaffham) but that was Terry’s only bright spot in a very disappointing afternoon for him. Terry’s brother Ashley Garrod came home in third place in the final which backed up his earlier third and second place finishes in the heats.

Lynn’s Andy Frost also had a great afternoon in the Big Van Bangers with possibly one of his best performances in the bangers ever which saw him record a couple of second place finishes, and he also took home an entertainer and merit award. Jack Garrod also recorded some good finishes with a heat and final second place finish whilst Russell Gill (Lynn) also had a good set of results.

London’s Danny Douglas won the Reliant Robin World of Shale Final.

Following a long summer run there is a break this coming weekend with racing returning to Lynn on September 12 and 13.
