The Lynn Fury senior basketball side begin their NBA Development League campaign on Sunday away at Southwark Pride.

The London-based Pride are a side built around young talent and spent the summer touring the USA in preparation for the season.

In the National Cup, Pride pushed Division One champions Essex Leopards to a five-point game so Fury can expect a tough challenge.

Fury are still awaiting international clearance for Wojtek Jablecki, but the club believes this will be processed in time, while Audrius Novogreckis is a doubt due to work commitments.

Lynn Fury head coach James Bamfield said: “We’ve had an extensive pre season and a tough fixture in the cup which have shown our potential as a team.

“We are anxious to get the league campaign underway.

“I expect an athletic and energetic home side and we will need to use our size and experience to our advantage.”
